I Give It A Ten

The Ten, a movie which will release on August 3rd in limited cinemas, looks to be one hilarious movie. A star-studded cast and unique plot are probably why this movie did great at all the film festivals. Adam Brody, Winona Ryder, Paul Rudd, Jessica Alba, Famke Janssen and so many more!

The film consists of ten different stories. Each story tells the tale of someone defying one of the ten commandments. Paul Rudd narrarates the film, but also commits a crime against the commandments as well. Here is a run-down:

1. A guy (ADAM BRODY) becomes an accidental hero after falling out of a plane
Thou shalt have no other gods before me

2.
A librarian (GRETCHEN MOL) has a sexual awakening in Mexico with a swarthy local (JUSTIN THEROUX)
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth

3. A husband (A.D. MILES) skips church with his family to get naked with his friends and listen to Roberta Flack
Remember thou keep the Sabbath Day

4. A mother (KERRI KENNEY-SILVER) enlists an Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonator (OLIVER PLATT) to be a father figure to her children
Thou shalt honor thy mother and father

5. A doctor (KEN MARINO) kills his patients "as a goof"
Thou shalt not kill

6. A man (PAUL RUDD) presents all of these stories to the audience while struggling with his own moral dilemma: having to choose between his beautiful wife (FAMKE JANSSEN) and his also beautiful, but somewhat younger, mistress (JESSICA ALBA).
Thou shalt not commit adultery.

7.
A woman (WINONA RYDER) falls in love with, and then steals a ventriloquist's puppet
Thou shalt not steal

8.
A Rhinoceros learns the pitfalls of gossip
Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor

9. A prisoner (ROB CORDDRY) covets his fellow inmate's "wife"
Thou shalt not covet thy neighhors wife

10. A police detective (LIEV SCHREIBER) covets his neighbor's Cat Scan machine
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors goods

I'm anxious to see how all this goes down!

Roadside Romeo and Wicked Wedding Overseas!

Disney is in works with Yash Raj Films to make disney animated movies, Bollywood Style! Complete with song and dance numbers, of course.

The movies will be made in Hindi and they will use local talent to voice the animations. Disney and Yash Chopra hope to push out at least one animated feature a year. They also hope that the display of Indian culture will be relevant worldwide.

Knowing Yash Chopra and the living legacy of Yash Raj Films, known for great hits like Veer-Zaara and Mohabbatein, these films will be nothing short of excellent.

The first project in works, Roadside Romeo, features the voices of two A-list Bollywood stars: Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor. The movie will center about a spoilt dog who is abandoned on the streets of Bombay. Roadside Romeo is scheduled to be released sometime next year.

Great news! I found out today that I am going to England later in July! I haven't been back since March of 2001, so I am over-joyed!

My cousin, Pooja, who just passed her final dental exams, (Congratulations!!) is getting married on July 29th in England. My mom and I will fly down on the weekend of the 20th and return August 7th. I can't wait!

I recently finished reading the book, Wicked: The Life and Times of The Wicked Witch of The West, by Gregory Maguire. The book was amazing. It really put a spin on the Wizard of Oz story, and I definitely like this one better. I recommend it for anyone looking for a good summer reading book.

After I read it, I was told to listen to the broadway musical soundtrack and watch the play because it is entirely different, but still good. I've listened to the soundtrack, again...amazing. Idina Menzel has such a great voice. And I saw a bootleg copy of the original play with the original cast, Idina Menzel, Kristen Chenowith, etc. It was also great. Then I learned that the musical is on tour in LA, Chicago, and...London! I haven't made any other plans yet, but I am definitely going to see it one night when I am there. That and Equus. Maybe I could meet Daniel Radcliffe. HA!

splitsville!

Dermot Mulroney is divorcing his wife of 17 years, Catherine Keener.
They've been seperated since 2005, so I think it was about time they ended it.

You know, after I saw My Best Friend's Wedding I always wished I could have a best friend that looked like Dermot Mulroney...but I would marry him.

Poor Catherine...I would not want to lose him.

Matchbox Maestro

I was driving somewhere today and listening to Rob Thomas' Streetcorner Symphony, which I love.

After the song played the radio dj started talking about Rob Thomas. I thought, "he hasn't really been in the trashy celebrity gossip that I keep up with so he must be up to something good." I was right.

Apparently he wants to start helping fledgeling artists. He says that if he is able to help at least three artists a year he would feel like he has made a difference.

I knew there was a reason, besides his obvious good looks, that I liked him.

XY, Quadruple Ogre, and Crunchy Peas

Last summer I started watching the new ABC Family series, Kyle XY. I got caught up with other things and my lack of internet at the time didn't help so I didn't watch the whole season. I finally got caught up this past weekend because I kept seeing the promos for the new season which starts up tomorrow. yay!

Let me say that this show is crazy good. For a show that is aired on ABC Family it is amazing. It has this complex storyline and it leaves you confused at times, but it is definitely worth watching if you haven't already seen it.

I read today that there is going to be a fourth installment to the Shrek series. Along with the fourth movie, there is even going to be a half hour Christmas TV special called "Shrek the Halls"

I loved the original Shrek movie, but neither of the other two have been as good as the first. I can only assume that this next one will be worse. As for the Christmas special, it could be interesting.

A couple of weeks ago I was getting a pedicure with a friend, but I got to the salon a little early and I was starving. I went to the Trader Joes which was right around the corner to find something to snack on and I came across these.

Snapea Crisps. My new addiction. They really don't taste much like snap peas, but they are great! Plus they are all natural and baked.

My friend and I finished the whole bag while we were getting pedicures.

I haven't seen them sold anywhere but Trader Joes, but if you can get your hands on some you will thank me!

New Place Same Face

Here i am joining the wonderful world of blogging again. I wasn't very good at keeping up with the last one, but my intent is to change that.

I have become addicted to the HBO series, Entourage. Not only are the characters hilarious , the actors all have great chemistry. The story lines are always crazy and never predictable, that's what I love most about it. It doesn't hurt that most (3 out of 5) of the main characters are great to look at. It also doesn't hurt that Marky Mark Wahlberg is the producer

These boys seem to have so much fun together and though the show is kind of crude, it makes for a great laugh.

I just recently read an article entitled Me and The Boys about them in the July issue of Marie Claire. They met with reporter Howie Kahn at the Four Seasons in LA. Kahn got to spend the day being one of the guys while they got celeb treatment. I would kill to spend a day with them! I advise everyone to take a peek at this article, you're in for a good chuckle.

\ EDIT /

a couple of quotes I just had to add

farabee: BITCHES.
Sherry: quit denying your love for that jungle juice

....now whatever could they be talking about?
